Working Students

We are always looking for dedicated working students who would like to continue their education. Any and all levels of experience are welcome and encouraged!

Receive daily instruction, full board for your horse, experience riding and handling many types of horses (and broodmares, babies, and stallions!), shipping to competitions and foxhunts, housing, and meals — a package with a value of over $3,500 per month – in return for barn work and horse care. You will become part of a top quality training and breeding stable, travel to the Florida base for the winter, and become part of the family.

Bring your horse, ride and compete - or don't! MSS has lots of horses and needs more butts in the saddle! The team is looking for dedicated students who can commit to at least six months. MSS has had a few working students become professionals in the horse world by becoming trainers themselves or going on to be grooms for 4 and 5 star riders.

Lessons

With all of that said, Nicolette is also looking for regular students as well! MSS would love to expand its program to dedicated folks to come broaden their horizons! Whether you want to learn how to ride a cross rail course, need help bring along a young horse, want help perfecting your finesse, or receive guidance to get up the event levels or out into the hunt field, Nicolette is your gal.

Training Board

It doesn’t stop there! If you are interested in sending your horse to MSS for training in any of the program’s several disciplines, that service can be offered to approved clients and horses.

• Training board — $1,800/mo — includes stall, feed, hay, daily handling, grooming, any treatment to hair, skin, and nails, ground work, longeing, desensitizing, riding, jumping, trail riding, etc. The horses are each given individual care depending on their physical and mental needs. ** Includes lessons on said horse **

• Foxhunter board — Training board plus $150 per hunt.

• Full board — $1,200/mo — everything except the training. We always treat these horses like our own.

• We feed the best hay, grain, and necessary supplements. We have an excellent farrier and team of vets.
