Kinvara Boy x Mac’s Lad - Arrived in America March 1, 2025 - Passport in hand

Experience:

- Hunted in Ireland for TWO and a HALF seasons with the Clonmel Harriers, regular guest with South Union Fox Hounds and Mullinavat Harriers - ’24-’25 season with 13yo teenager.
- Irish territory he has seen - banks, drains, stone walls, & fly fences.
- Pony Club, pony camp, & unaffiliated eventing 90cm.
- Gone out 4 times first-flight in America with Keswick Hunt Club and Thornton Hill Hounds - Hired out to client once with a glowing review.

Movement, Jumping Ability, Way of Going, & Conformation:

- Casper has a big ground-covering walk and floats across the ground at the trot and canter. He can really open up at the gallop and easily keep up with the field- he has often found a 5th leg.
- He easily jumps 3’3 coops and feels like he could enter any American hunt territory.
- He will wait his turn patiently.
- He is exceptionally careful & is much like a cat!
- Very good at water crossings - will walk or hop across if the bottom is unknown.
- While Casper is a forward first-flight horse, he is very quiet at home, and much more of a kick-ride, which makes him safe.
- Will ride out alone but prefers to ride with friends.
- He rides at home in a snaffle, but hunts in a Pelham with two reins.
- He has excellent Connemara feet - N/N for HWSD

Personality:
- Casper is a PET - He loves attention and grooming and is great for baths.
- Easy to catch in the pasture.
- Has never been Aced for hunting.
- Can’t wait to load up on the trailer for an adventure.
- Eats well, drinks well.
- Just a general DELIGHT to have in the barn and ride - He will have you smiling from ear to ear 24/7.

Guest rider's testimonial:

“I visited the Keswick Hunt and had the incredible opportunity to ride Casper—it was truly the best day with him. Having grown up hunting in England, I’ve ridden many horses, but he is by far one of the best hirelings I’ve ever ridden. Casper was impeccably well-behaved, standing patiently, never spooking, never putting a foot wrong. He would be an ideal mount for a more nervous rider who prefers to stay at the back, yet if asked, he was more than happy to take the lead, riding right behind the field master and confidently guiding the field over every jump.

His jumping was exceptional—forward-going, meeting each fence on a perfect stride, and with an incredibly smooth and effortless jump. No matter the situation, he remained calm and responsive, whether taking the lead over a fence or waiting patiently while others went ahead. He’s the perfect schoolmaster for anyone looking to get into hunting. On top of all that, he is unbelievably cute, and I only wish I could take him home to England with me!
