What if I don’t have your horse?
— No problem!
I am offering my services to help you find the horse of your dreams, no matter the discipline!
I don’t want a commission.. I’ll just charge a baseline search fee, with an hourly fee beyond the baseline.
—— What does the baseline search fee include?
$300 - This will begin our discussion about your dream horse. What is your riding style, your ability? What are your ultimate desires, big no-nos, compromises, your budget, etcetera. I will need references, and a video of your riding. Then I start my search - whether it be calling all of my discipline appropriate contacts, or scouring the internet for sale ads. I consult with trainers and sellers about each horse, and come up with a list of horses you should see.
You can cap my services there, or we can continue with the in-person sale appointments.
—— What does the hourly fee include?
$100/hour - This will include my time, effort, gas, knowledge, and expertise - trying the horse, watching you ride the horse, hunting the horse for you, being present for the pre-purchase exam, asking the right questions, answering your questions, anything that will make you feel comfortable with the experience.
